In an evening that left them feeling they deserved much better, SF City lost to Southern California Seahorses 2-0 in La Mirada. City had two early goals disallowed, and were unable to score further despite creating more chances and holding the majority of the possession. The Seahorses were able to launch a few effective counters against City and scored goals by Ben Burns in the 25th minute and Tariq Branche in the 87th minute.
Said coach Paddy: “It was a frustrating result. We played well, created a lot of chances, and had two goals taken back early in the first half on close calls. After they scored, our guys kept fighting and creating opportunities but we couldn’t find the final scoring touch.”
“I feel confident we’ll bounce back tomorrow. Golden State is a good team but after tonight our guys are ready to get back out there again and earn a result”

SF City’s second match of the PDL season will put them neatly between Los Angeles and Anaheim to face the Southern California Seahorses at Biola University. Our lads scraped out a 1-0 victory there last year and will look to take all three points once again!
