SF City continued it’s undefeated start to 2015 after a 1-0 victory over East Bay United at Kezar Stadium!
City narrowly avoiding falling behind for the first time in 2015, after East Bay was awarded a penalty kick midway through the first half. The East Bay penalty taker missed just wide, and just minutes later SF City took the lead on a Tyson Crim goal. Crim cooly finished a Gabe Padilla cross to give City the 1-0 lead.
In the second half, City kept the pressure on causing multiple chances with David Taylor, George Plakorus, and Reed Williams barely missing chances on goal.
While City held on for the win, the Club saw new addition and former University of San Francisco Midfielder Danny Kirkland take a lower leg injury late in the 2nd half. Kirkland, who had an outstanding performance dictating play from his central midfield position had to leave the match after a high-impact collision with an opposing East Bay player. Despite the injury, Danny was in good spirits and hopes to return to action soon.
