Under a beautiful sunset and night sky at Negoesco stadium on the campus of the University of San Francisco, SF City defeated the USF Dons 4-1 on goals from Tyson Crim, Gabe Padilla, Ben Flatley, and Reed Williams. Over 500 fans attended the match.
The night started with a lively gathering at Barrel Head Brewhouse with members joining to pick up their inaugural scarves and get ready for the night’s game.
After Barrel Head, the crew headed up Fulton to historic Negoesco stadium, serenading all of NOPA with the steady beat and melody of SF City chants during the march to Negoesco.
The match (and the evening sunset) provided a wonderful show for the over 500 members and supporters at Negoesco. SF City took control of the match in the first 2 minutes after Jack Momeyer found Tyson Crim loosely marked in USF’s six yard box. Momeyer’s pass was perfect and Crim quickly turned and scored, taking a 1-0 lead that City would expand on as the match progressed.
