On a blustery San Francisco day at Crocker Amazon fields it took SF City four minutes to take the lead against Tottenham Hotspur East Bay with City Midfielder Jordan Hughes (University of San Francisco) volleying a corner past the Hotspur East Bay Goalkeeper.
After Hughes’ goal, SF City exchanged attacks with Hotspur East Bay, with both sides coming close and hitting the post as the first half progressed.
After a Hotspur East Bay foul 40 yards out from goal, City captain took the ensuing free kick and delivered a perfect ball to the head of Antonio Lokossou (Saint Mary’s), who finished perfectly to give City the 2-0 lead.
City’s dominance continued, with substitute Austin Mirabella (Emory) scoring twice in 3 minutes to extend the lead to 4-0.
After a lone goal scored off a deflection from Hotspur East Bay, City finished off the six goal effort with Mirabella completing the hat trick and midfielder Bryan Izaguirre scoring the sixth and final goal.
With the win, SF City advances to the NorCal Premier Final to face Davis Legacy Sunday July 26. The match will be hosted at Davis Legacy Soccer Complex with kickoff scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
