SF City inks 5 more from Bay Area schools!

SF City FC has signed 5 more players for the upcoming PDL season from schools all over the Bay Area. Midfielders Max Mirner, Dylan Caton, Andy Altamirano, Julien Melendez and Gabe Borges will join the 2016 squad this May. Mirner, the lone returnee of the group, after playing with SF City last summer, currently plies his trade at St. Mary’s College and helped the Gaels to a 3rd place finish in the West Coast Conference in 2015. Caton, a native of Sydney, Australia just began his college soccer career at Santa Clara University earlier this year. From 2013-2015 he played in Sydney FC, but began his career at the Sutherland Sharks with fellow SF City Midfielder Jordan Hughes.

Andy Altamirano joins the City squad from City College of San Francisco. Altamirano is a well-polished attacking midfielder, playing just underneath a front two or a lone striker. Melendez has been a standout player for College of Marin over the last two seasons. He was named Bay Valley Conference player of the year in 2014 and to the Bay Valley All-Conference Team in 2015. Over two seasons, Melendez had 15 goals and 6 assists for COM. Originally from Goiania, Brazil, Gabe Borges joins SF City FC from West Valley College where he helped his team to a 17-4-1 record in 2015 behind 4 goals and 9 assists.

Please welcome Max, Dylan, Andy, Julien and Gabe to SF City FC!
