Paddy Coyne to Coach Summer League squad
Paddy Coyne will lead the squad as SF City seeks to claim the NorCal Summer League Championship amidst a highly competitive, 24 team League table split into 4 divisions across all of Northern California.
After growing up and playing semi-professionally in England, Coyne’s coaching career has taken him around the globe. Paddy made his way from England to Southern California where he was the Youth Director at Laguna Niguel Soccer Club and the Boys Director at Laguna Beach High School for 4 years.
Paddy left Southern California for Australia where he coached at the men’s semi-professional level, winning two state premier league titles. Additionally, Paddy coached in Peru, Argentina, and Africa as an intern with San Martin and San Leandro professional clubs.
Paddy currently holds a USSF “B” coaching license and lives in San Francisco. He is also the Director of Coaching for the SF City youth academy program. Paddy will be assisted by Coach Andrew Gardner and Manager Jordan Gardner, who led SF City to a successful Spring campaign including the Club’s first ever U.S. Open Cup appearance.
